My Blog

It is week 16 of the Christmas Countdown Challenge. I am sorry this week’s blog is late.

I should have posted this blog Saturday 23rd, but I’m on holiday and was busy travelling.

As I write all my blogs in real-time, I have postponed my post until today. But don’t worry, I will be on schedule with my next blog on Saturday 30th.

In my blog this week.

My five hens

I have left my five hens in the excellent care of a friend. They’re fine. Before I left, I did a Deep Clean, which means that I washed their coop out and treated it with a suitable disinfectant recommended for chicken coops. Designed to prevent chicken flu in the coop, ensuring the chickens are all healthy. I miss them, but I’ll be back soon.

My week

I am on Holiday in Lincoln, seeing family and friends.

The first part of my journey began last Saturday. At Kings Cross Station, here I am waiting to board the train to Peterborough. I then travelled to Lincoln from Peterborough by train, which was easy, nowhere near as bad as I thought. I am agoraphobic so travelling alone is not easy for me, that is why I’m looking extremely nervous. But once I’m there, I start to feel better quite quickly.

Being a tourist in Lincoln

On Tuesday, I was having a great time in Lincoln, being a tourist with a friend.

I’m enjoying my holiday, and I will keep you updated on what I’m doing on my next blog.

Allotment update

Still, no sign of the Beetroot seedlings I planted, so just in case they don’t show up, my husband has planted loads more seeds while I’m away. So, let’s hope they appear. I’ll keep you posted.

As you know, I am not a professional gardener. But I am just hoping that my updates will inspire you to grow your food and help save the planet. If you need professional gardening advice, try finding a local gardening expert and see if they can help you.

Week 16 of the Christmas Countdown Challenge

It is week 16 of the Christmas Countdown Challenge. There are 36 weeks before Christmas. If you saved £20.00 this week, you have already saved £320.00 (these figures are for last week). I will be posting another blog on Saturday with this week’s figures.
