Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. This week, I am talking about the 7 bills we have to pay, Christmas Countdown, my allotment diary and Hints and Tips on saving money.

7 bills we have to pay!

7 bills we have to pay are the following 7 standard priority bills

  1. Food
  2.  Gas
  3. Electric
  4. Council Tax
  5. TV Licence
  6. Rent/Mortgage
  7.  Telephone

These are the bills that must be included and treated as a priority when you create a budget.

More Priority Bills

We must also pay other priority bills, depending on our circumstances. Such as child maintenance, magistrates, court fines, County Court Judgements, Tax, National Insurance or VAT, hire purchase or logbook loan. Christmas Countdown – How many weeks ‘til Christmas?

There are 41 weeks and 5 days until Christmas Day. If you decided to join me on my Christmas Countdown Challenge and save £20.00 a week, your total should be £180.00 already!

By Christmas, you would have saved £980.00 if all goes to plan.

But life is not always that simple, so if you cannot save every week, do not worry, start the next week again.

Grow your own – my allotment diary

It is March already; I cannot believe how quickly this month has come around! March for me means I will be popping over to my allotment this week, pulling the last of my leeks, and checking my Purple Sprouting. I have already bought the potting compost and will be starting to sew my vegetable seeds, weather permitting.

To remind you, I am not a professional gardener. But I love gardening and thought I would include my allotment diary to inspire you to grow your own. If you need professional gardening advice, look for an experienced local gardener.

Hints and Tips – money saving ideas

If you are buying online, use the basket rather than the buy now option.   Give yourself a moment to consider whether you need and can afford what you are buying rather than making an impulse buy.
